Social Activity Seminar Series
Program Dates: June 14th, 2021 through July 23rd, 2021
This summer, CCS is offering a variety of social activities and face-to-face meetings led by our seasoned executive function coaches. After over a year spent in lockdown and more time in our own homes alone or on screens, many young adults are finding it more difficult to return to social situations of all kinds, especially if they struggled with these interactions prior to the pandemic. This kind of anxiety has been nicknamed “Quarantine-Induced Social Anxiety” and may impact those with anxiety pre-pandemic and create new social anxiety in those have yet to experience these difficulties.
Our Social and Wellness activities allow adolescents and young adults to meet like-minded peers, improve social connection skills, decrease social anxiety and increase confidence, while supporting their academic, emotional and recovery needs.
Participants will engage in four different social activities of their choosing out of the offerings, although participants may also opt to engage in all six activities. The exact schedule (e.g., date and time) of these activities will be determined at a later date.
