justin-webJustin brings 10 years of experience working with youth in various settings and most specifically individuals with autism spectrum disorders addressing social emotional challenges. Originally a transplant from California, Justin is proud to call Colorado his home and thoroughly appreciates the numerous opportunities and overall quality of life this state has to offer.

Justin attended Azusa Pacific University in Southern California where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2003. He continued on at Azusa Pacific over the next two years to earn a Master’s degree in clinical psychology, marriage and family therapy in 2005. While attending graduate school, Justin had the opportunity to work for West End Family Counseling as part of a practicum placement, providing counseling services within a school-based setting. Additionally, Justin worked for InterCare Therapy providing a play and relationship based intervention called “Floor Time,” that addresses social emotional challenges and deficits for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders.

Following the completion of graduate school, Justin returned to Colorado to be close to family and pursue a career path in the field of mental health. Maintaining a passion for working with individuals on the autism spectrum, Justin took a job working for Creative Perspectives providing interdisciplinary and behavioral-based intervention for children, adolescents and young adults. Over the course of his time with Creative Perspectives, Justin held various roles and responsibilities and gained valuable knowledge and skills working along side a multidisciplinary team of professionals.

As a therapeutic coach, Justin takes an integrated approach based on the individual’s specific challenges and needs incorporating therapeutic elements from client-centered, cognitive-behavioral and family-system approaches. He is a strong believer in practical application and helping the client gain the skills necessary to realize positive change and personal growth. In addition to his work with Collegiate Coaching, Justin also works in a private practice setting with Central Counseling of Denver providing counseling services for children, adolescents and adults presenting with a wide variety of challenges and needs. He also continues to maintain a specialty working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders offering social skills groups and 1:1 intervention.

In his personal life, Justin enjoys spending quality time with his lovely wife, family and friends, traveling, going to sporting events, enjoying the great outdoors and building his spiritual faith. Additionally, Justin is an avid fly fisherman and guitar player and loves to utilize these activities as therapeutic outlets.
