Jane McKean, MA, CDF
Jane obtained her Master’s in Counseling in 2010 from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. Her passion to make a positive impact led her to be a school counselor at St Thomas More Cathedral School in Arlington, VA. In 2013, Jane and her family moved back to Boulder, CO, where she is fulfilling her dream of living in the mountains and being a career coach. Jane loves helping people identify their strengths and values and then aligning them to their choice of study at school or their world of work.
Jane received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado. She started her career in business as an Event Manager in Vail, CO. She matched artists/entertainers to large events and managed the process. Jane moved east and was a Research Director and Moderator at RIVA (Research in Values and Attitudes) a qualitative market research firm in Bethesda, MD. Today, Jane has combined her two strengths, business skills and counseling skills, to help people navigate the world of school and work. Jane believes that with the appropriate support people who truly know themselves can find career satisfaction and career growth throughout their lifetime.
Jane completed the Career Development Facilitator program and Myers Briggs Personality Type Indicator. She is a member of National Career Development Association and Colorado Career Development Association. Being a member of these organizations provides Jane cutting edge career materials to share with her clients.
