Darcy earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado in 2003.
During her Master’s program, Darcy also worked as a lead instructor for the Colorado Outward Bound school. She continued to spend her Summer’s working with adolescents and adults at Outward Bound for 5 years.
After graduating, Darcy worked in residential treatment with adolescents for a year and then began work as a school-based therapist. She spent over 10 years working with Middle and High School students and their families in the Boulder area. As a school-based therapist and intervention specialist, Darcy also helped to connect families and students to community resources and assisted with academic concerns.
Darcy recently completed a course in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and is passionate about utilizing mindfulness personally and professionally as a tool with individuals she works with.
Outside of work, Darcy has spent the last 15 years competing as a sponsored ultra-distance trail runner all over the world. She is passionate about being outdoors, skiing, running, camping, and spending time with her daughter and their dog, Maggie.
