Beth-KnorekBeth earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Colorado. Throughout her four years at the University of Colorado it became clear that her passion was to work with young adults, couples, and families. Beth then pursued her Master’s in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon. During her time in Oregon she was able to work at the Center for Family Therapy in addition to Looking Glass Youth and Family Services. At Looking Glass Youth and Family Services, Beth specialized in treating young adults struggling with addiction.

After graduating from the University of Oregon, Beth continued her work with youth and their families as an intensive in-home family therapist using research based measures for improving individual and family functioning. She is passionate about working with young adults and their families at various transitional stages of life. Beth believes that all individuals and families possess inherent strengths that can aid them in overcoming life’s challenges. She works to provide a safe, supportive atmosphere where change is able to take place.

Beth moved back to Boulder in 2013 and was honored to work with individuals and families who were impacted by the 2013 September floods. Working hands-on in the Boulder County community has deepened Beth’s understanding of resiliency and strength.

Outside of work, Beth is still involved at the University of Colorado coaching the women’s club water polo team. She enjoys swimming and playing water polo in her free time. Beth loves to take her dog on hikes all over colorful Colorado.
